In 2023 I bought my first pair of Cairn Evo Pro 3D Sandals based on the reviews- excellent grippy soles that can transition from the water to rock scrambles. I'm happy to say that they have lived up to that and more. More? Yes more. I have tried several styles of the Chaco's and thought they were adequate- not a big fan of the toe straps. These are easy to adjust, lock onto the soles of your feet, and are amazingly comfortable. I wear these all summer long- to the point that my favorite Hawaiian casual dress flip flops are gathering dust- and I loved them for their cushy insoles. They are great for light hikes and do a great job securing your foot. They are great for creek crossings and camp sandals too. I love these when I am out shooting with my camera. I can go from rock scrambles ; to the water ; to the marsh- without worry. The soles grip amazingly well ( as good as my Salewas-which in my opinion is high compliments). In the 2024 summer because I was wearing the original Brick pair every day, I bought another pair ( Slate Blue) to rotate. In September 2025, my 2023 Cairn Evo Pro 3D soles started to delaminate - some Gorilla glue and clamps and I was able to finish the season. I was waiting for the Spring launch to see if they still have the Brick color. Since it's no longer available, I sent them in to take advantage of the Resoul Program.
